The world's largest tidal turbine generator of wave energy in Scotland published.

Atlantis Resources Corporation Pte Ltd, a company in the United Kingdom and Singapore, and a pioneer in the study of wave generation of tidal power turbine presented last week, the biggest tidal wave generator can be installed off the coast of Marina European Centre in Orkney in the far north of Scotland. The Gentle Giant, the power of their data center team in one of the harshest environments is developed around the coast.

The turbine designed to be completely immersed in the operation designed for a capacity of 1 MW. Monster Generator that the code-name is AK-1000 weighs 1430 tons by the manufacturers, about 75 feet (22 m) high.

The two rotors with three blades are to be mounted and rotates at low speed for 8 to 10 rpm, a rate much slower than the speed of the propeller of a ship at sea as compared to wind familiar turbines generate more power at lower speeds, while the length of the rotors can be lower. This is because the air is less dense with the wind and less potential energy package, and thereby to the need for a higher speed and larger rotor to the same result as a tidal turbine.

Marine life thrives in areas by the rapid tidal currents and marine species are identified populated by strong and agile, it was only the risks, to avoid the fast-moving objects. The designers found AK-1000 is that sea life can easily avoid turbine rotors in slow motion. This is good news for those of marine life under threat due to the relentless pursuit concern is for the use of marine resources.

The relatively new technology of the equipment is still in its infancy, but there are many sites in Europe and the U.S. are relatively low capacity of prototype or experimental units. Atlantis Resources Corporation is a match, the step forward and put his money ventured into the marketing of tidal turbines.

The tidal turbine has several advantages over wind turbines, such as:

Invisible to the spectators on the ground, in contrast to unsightly turbine • wind.

• Virtually no noise, in contrast to wind

• Do not use the land mass of valuable

• Do not use large areas of the seabed.

• No damage to life forms in a significant number

• Low potential rotor burst in contrast to wind

• Inputs from tidal power plants are usually very densely populated cities in the vicinity of where the greatest demand for electricity

Timothy Cornelius, Atlantis chief Resources Corporation is confident that the development of tidal energy as a viable commercial enterprise to develop local supply chains, which requires a large number of residents employed in order to deliver sustainable local network.
